City Corona spreads its feet: Number of active cases is 42, IIT most affected, instructions issued by educational institutions
The number of coronae infections in the city is continuously increasing. The most affected of these is the IIT Kanpur campus, where 13 cases have been reported so far. Corona is slowly spreading its feet in the city, all this is happening because of the people coming from outside. This information was given by CMO Dr. Nepal Singh. He told that a professor in IIT landed in Delhi after returning from abroad and from there reached Kanpur in his car. Corona first happened to the eldest woman of her own family, after that the people she met on campus were also caught by Corona. Apart from this, a professor of GSVM Medical College has also been caught with a corona infection. We are trying our best to break this chain of the corona, but given the way corona has exploded in the city, there is a possibility of getting more infected in the city, that is why the city-dwellers need to be alert.
The number doubled in the last 48 hours...
In the last 48 hours, the number of coronae infected in the city has doubled. There are 42 active cases in the city at present. Which is much more than the beginning of the third wave. If Dr. Nepal Singh is to be believed, the infection is happening from the people of the city but people coming from outside are spreading the infection more. People coming from states like Maharashtra, Delhi, and Kerala have spread the infection more.
14 infected people were found in the NCC camp on Sunday
When the Health Department team reached an NCC camp that started in the Cantt area on Sunday, 14 cadets were found corona infected together. Of these, 12 were from Kanpur and two other cadets were from Lucknow and Aligarh. Dr. Nepal Singh said, we asked to cancel this camp immediately and also checked the other cadets present there, in which no other infected were found. We have advised all the cadets found infected and their families to keep these cadets in isolation for about a week.
Instructions are given for contact tracing
The CMO has formed 16 teams for all those infected who are being found infected in the city. These teams will first test the antigen of the people coming in their contact after interrogating the infected, if anything suspicious is found, samples will be sent for RTPCR test.
Instructions were given to schools and other educational institutions...
Given the increasing cases of Corona, CMO Dr. Nepal Singh has given strict instructions to the educational institutions. He has said that, given the way the corona is increasing in the city, it is very important to strictly follow the corona protocol once again. Action will be taken against the institution which is lax in this. Along with this, he has instructed the schools to vaccinate the students above the age of 12 years at the earliest so that the student does not fall into the grip of the corona.
